Banana Fibre
Yarn
Often called “banana silk” for its natural sheen, our yarn is spun from the inner layer of the banana pseudostem — the softest, finest grade. It delivers a smooth texture gentle enough for newborn-skin contact, similar to linen, with a plant-based body that synthetic fibres simply cannot replicate.
Tensile strength is up to 15 times that of cotton. Moisture-wicking properties make it exceptionally comfortable in warm climates. Yarn counts range from 20s to 30s. Blended with cotton for optimal spinning performance. Available in custom eco-dyed variants for weaving, knitting, macramé, and industrial applications.

Unlike PVC or rubber mats, our banana fibre mats require no synthetic coatings and decompose completely. The natural weave settles and improves with regular use — a mat that grows with your practice.
